The Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed this after the centre, as a one-time exception, expressed willingness to give them one chance to clear the exam as recommended by an expert Committee. The suspect brazenly reached the court to blackmail the judge where he got an envelope handed over to the judge by a stenographer, police said. The judge lodged an FIR on Feb 28, but the police are yet to make any arrests.  The envelope was allegedly sent on February 7 and contained a demand for Rs 20 lakh with edited objectionable pictures of the judge. The suspect also threatened the judge to “ruin her life” if the money was not given. Initially, the judge ignored the threat.
